European Robotics Week 2016

The 1st Junior High School of Agiou Ioanni Redi “Al. Papadiamantis” participates -for the first time- in the European Robotics Week by informing, presenting and implementing Educational Robotics activities to the students of the elementary and junior high schools of our region. These activities can be attended by Computer Science teachers, as well as the rest of the teaching staff, executives associated with Robotics, parents etc
On Tuesday 22/11/2006 and Friday 25/12/2016 Elementary and Junior High school groups will be informed through presentations and videos for the benefits of creating and programming robotic constructions.
The visitors will learn how robots can be designed, created and programmed using Lego EV3 educational packages. The opening act will be “Scratch for Arduino” and after that the application "Ardublock" will be presented. In the latter application there is a microcontroller to be programmed that has been adapted to a remote controlled car, in order to allow it to operate autonomously. The presentation and demonstration activities, as well as the supervision of robots constructed by students will be done by teachers and students participated in our school's Robotics program.
