La robòtica educativa de LEGO i l'aplicació creativa a l'aprenentatge per projectes

Els tallers de robòtica educativa tenen moltes característiques que els fan extremadament atractius i són una molt bona forma de promoure la passió per la ciència, la tecnologia, la enginyeria, les matemàtiques i l’art des de edats molt joves (les matèries STEAM), impulsant un aprenentatge basat en projectes, en el joc i la cooperació (learn by doing, learn by playing).
Volem ajudar a incorporar els aspectes de la programació a l’aprenentatge basat en projectes.
Els participants en aquest curs realitzaran un projecte utilitzant entre altres la tecnologia de la robòtica educativa de LEGO, de forma transversal i experimentaran l’ús de la programació, dels sensors i motors, i la seva relació amb matèries com: la física, les matemàtiques, la geometria, la enginyeria, la lògica, la tecnologia i la ciència, les ciències socials i l’art en general.

Target audience
L’objectiu d’aquest curs per professors és aprofundir en la tecnologia de la robòtica educativa de LEGO i descobrir recursos per aplicar-los en un aprenentatge creatiu.
En aquest sentit, el curs permetrà als assistents:
- conèixer i practicar la tecnologia, el llenguatge de programació i les relacions entre els components del robot LEGO.
- conèixer i proposar exemples transversals d’aprenentatge basat en projectes per aplicar a l’aula.

Munkatársaink bemutatják a demonstrációs, kísérleti és oktatási célokkal épült mini gyártórendszerünket, valamint a hozzá kapcsolódó, együttműködő robotokat. Az újonnan kialakított, egyedi környezetben vendégeink interaktívan dolgozhatnak együtt kisebb robotokkal és betekintést kaphatnak a robotizált 3D szkennelésbe is. A Megosztott Virtuális Valóság Kutatócsoport prezentációjának keretén belül a látogatók betekinthetést nyerhetnek a virtuális valóság technológia ipari alkalmazási területeibe, illetve testközelből láthatják milyen változásokat hozhat ez a technológia a jövő kórházai, iskolái, munkahelyei számára. Látogatóink megtekinthetik egy a Mérnöki és Üzleti Intelligencia Kutatólaboratóriummal kooperációban létrehozott virtuális gyártósort, illetve azt, hogy a jövőben hogy lehet a virtuális valóság technológiák felhasználásával a gyártást irányítani, optimalizálni.
A virtualizációs technológiák bár régóta jelen vannak a tudomány illetve technika világában, kézzelfoghatóan a hétköznapi alkalmazások szintjén csak a most váltak széleskörben elérhetővé. Az internet és a mobilkommunikációs eszközök technikai és kulturális forradalma teszi lehetővé, hogy a jövő gyáraiban, kórházaiban, iskoláiban egy új, a verbális nyelvet kiegészítő, "nyelv" a lehető leghatékonyabban tudja átadni a szükséges ismereteket, információkat. Ez a nyelv nem más mint a megosztható három dimenziós tér.

Manapság a média tele van a drónokról szóló hírekkel. De mit jelent ez egy járműirányítással foglalkozó kutatóintézetnek? Hogyan lépnek be ezek a „játékok” a kutatók életébe? Ezt törekszik a Rendszer és Irányításelméleti Kutatólaboratórium bemutatni két helyszínen. Az egyiken a robotpilóta szoftverek áttekintő fejlesztési kérdéseivel és a légtér biztonságát szolgáló úgynevezett látni és elkerülni rendszerrel foglalkozunk majd, míg a másikon egy flexibilis szárnyú repülőgéppel foglalkozó projektünket mutatjuk be, különös tekintettel a robotpilóta hardver fejlesztésekre, és a kapcsolódó izgalmas kérdésekre. A program részeként szimulációban mindenki kipróbálhatja majd, hogyan boldogulna egy drón vezetésével.

A Mérnöki és Üzleti Intelligencia Kutatólaboratórium munkatársainak előadásában bemutatjuk a demonstrációs célokkal épült mini gyártórendszerünket, valamint a hozzá kapcsolódó, engedelmes robotokat.
A kísérleti környezetben a hagyományos eszközök (magasraktár, szállítószalag, megmunkáló állomások) mellett mobil szállító, valamint az emberrel együttműködő robotok alkotnak sokféle gyártási és szerelési feladatot megoldani képes rendszert. A szófogadó gyár a virtuális térben is megtekinthető a Megosztott Virtuális Valóság Kutatócsoport 3D barlangjában.

Robots & Heros: A diabetes camp in the Netherlands with robot buddy

T1DM is a chronic disease that sets high demands on self-management in childhood to prevent health problems in short-term (hypo or hyper) and in long-term (e.g., arteriosclerosis) [1-2]. Self-management requires motivation and perseverance.

PAL (Personal Assistant for Healthy Lifestyle) is a 4-year European Horizon 2020 project. It develops and researches a social robot (i.e., the NAO, a humanoid, embodied and interactive agent), its avatar (in an app), an authoring tool for healthcare professionals (PAL Control) and an information system for parents (PAL Inform) (www.pal4u.eu). PAL aims at assisting the child (7-14 years old), health care professional and parent, to jointly perform diabetes management, whereby the child learns to be more self-reliant before adolescence. This is situated in different daily contexts for children with T1DM, such as at home, in hospitals, and at diabetes camps in the Netherlands and Italy.

During a three day diabetes camp organised this autumn in the Netherlands, children (8-12y) interact with the PAL system (robot, avatar and edutainment apps). Also, through creative methods (e.g., theatre, drawing, story telling), they are surveyed on 1) their needs for diabetes self-management support and 2) how the PAL system could further support them in their diabetes .management. Lessons learned during the camp are used to further improve the PAL system for fun, useful and long-term support for T1DM in children.

The project involves research partners TNO (coordinator), DFKI, FCSR, Imperial and Delft University of Technology, next to end-users, the hospitals Gelderse Vallei and Meander, and the Diabetes Association Netherlands and Ital, and SME’s Mixel and Produxi.

These competences enable them to think in a different way, to express themselves through a variety of media, to solve real-world problems and analyse everyday issues with a different perspective.
This scholastic year, the Directorate is launching a new initiative ‘Family Code Nights’ in which adults discover ways in which they can support their child's learning as children and adults engage in fun coding activities.
Parents/Guardians and their children are invited to participate in a series of Lego Education Wedo robotics workshops which will be delivered by Lego Academy certified trainers. These Family Learning Workshops are the perfect place to learn with your child. In each workshop, adults discover ways in which they can support their child's learning as children engage in fun coding activities. For further details see the attached flyer.

Presentation and starting up of a tree years project on educational robotics funced by OBM and the Umbria Industrail Association for the Umbria School.

“Competenze digitali per il futuro” frutto di una stretta collaborazione tra Fondazione IBM Italia, Ufficio Scolastico Regionale dell’Umbria, Regione Umbria e Confindustria Umbria che coinvolge cinque istituti scolastici umbri e che rappresenta il primo esperimento di questo genere in Italia.
Si tratta di un progetto di robotica educativa di durata triennale che intende valorizzare la robotica come strumento per avvicinare gli studenti al mondo dell’Intelligenza Aumentata. In particolare la Fondazione IBM Italia metterà a disposizione delle scuole selezionate venti TJBot. Gli studenti potranno accedere attraverso TJBot ai servizi di Watson, il sistema cognitivo IBM, in grado di interagire in linguaggio naturale, finalizzando la comunicazione uomo-macchina allo sviluppo di competenze.

Nell’ambito dei corsi di Robotica per l’anno scolastico in corso, è previsto l’allestimento di una o due squadre per partecipare alla First Lego League, che si terrà a Pistoia, Sabato 17 Febbraio 2018.
Il corso di allenamento prevede 10 incontri pomeridiani della durata di 2 ore ciascuno, dalle 15:10 alle 17:10, secondo un calendario ancora da definire.
Durante gli allenamenti ogni squadra avrà a disposizione il campo di gara ed il regolamento ufficiale della competizione, e dovrà costruire e programmare il proprio robot in modo da compiere le missioni previste nel minor tempo possibile.

Coolest Projects è un progetto nato nel 2012, in Irlanda, su spinta della CoderDojo Foundation, la fondazione che ha dato il via al fenomeno dei CoderDojo, ed è una competizione/esibizione che aiuta i ragzzzi a crescere e a confrontarsi con i propri coetanei, presentando progetti di coding ideati, sviluppati e realizzati da loro stessi.
Con lo stesso spirito, CoderDojo Milano ha deciso di promuovere la prima edizione italiana di Coolest Projects, un contest per stimolare e far emergere le qualità dei ragazzi italiani dai 7 ai 17 anni, indirizzare la loro creatività digitale verso un obiettivo concreto e motivarli.
I progetti possono riguardare una delle sei categorie: Scratch (qualsiasi progetto sviluppato usando la piattaforma Scratch, dai giochi alle animazioni), Siti Web (su qualsiasi argomento e realizzati utilizzando HTML, CSS e Javascript), Videogame (con qualsiasi linguaggio e tecnologia), Mobile Apps (applicazioni mobili interattive che aiutano, informano o intrattengono), Hardware (robot, macchine e hack), Evolution (progetti che utilizzano linguaggi avanzati come C++/Java/etc.).

Nell’occasione, dalle 9 alle ore 13, è stata offerta la possibilità a cittadini e scolaresche di osservare mezzi ed apparati in dotazione all’Arma jonica, appositamente esposti nel piazzale della caserma dove erano presenti, con le attrezzature di specialità in dotazione, gli artificieri antisabotaggio con il loro robot “Pedsko”, i militari dell’Aliquota Radiomobile della Compagnia Carabinieri cittadina con le loro “gazzelle” dotate degli apparati “Provida e Elsag”, quelli della Stazione di Taranto Principale con un militare “Carabiniere di Quartiere” ed una Stazione Mobile, veicolo che racchiude una "piccola caserma" mobile, che può essere dislocata, all’occorrenza o finanche in caso di necessità, in località in cui non ci sono caserme o dove magari – a seguito di calamità naturale - tale struttura non è più agibile.

The Trasnational meeting and course week of the Erasmus Plus project "Robotics Over Internet Protocolo"

The main goal of the project is constructing a remote (via-internet) control system for the professional industry robot and NAO (humanoid shape robot). We will create multilingugal (in all partners languages) video SWIFT programming course available as Open Educational Resource. Schools participating in the project will have an opportunity to evaluate their own curriculums and to choose solutions, effectively used in partner countries, which succour the educational process. The labour market cooperation will influence the awareness of correlation between knowledge and practice. It will show practical ways of using it and it will familiarise the participants with different technological solutions. We will get the most actual knowledge used in real life.

L'obiettivo del corso è quello di fornire ai partecipanti nozioni circa lo stato dell'arte nell'utilizzo della chirurgia robotica finalizzata al trattamento dei tumori del distretto ORL/cervico facciale, con particolare riguardo alle indicazioni e alle tecniche esecutive di procedure a livello dell'orofaringe, della laringe e dello spazio parafaringeo.
I partecipanti acquisiranno inoltre dimestichezza con il dispositivo robotico e il suo funzionamento, attraverso le esercitazioni al simulatore; verranno mostrate loro le metodiche di allestimento di una sala robotica finalizzata alla chirurgia oncologica ORL, la preparazione del paziente e l'esecuzione dal vivo delle procedure chirurgiche.

Il seminario organizzato dalla Scuola Nazionale di Amministrazione Digitale (SNAD), Università degli studi di Roma, Unitelma Sapienza, ha lo scopo di analizzare i forti cambiamenti che riguardano il mondo del lavoro con l’applicazione, sempre più integrata, delle tecnologie dell’informazione e della comunicazione. Il processo di profonda trasformazione del mondo del lavoro è stato oggetto del recente G7 e della dichiarazione ministeriale “Per un migliore futuro del lavoro: percorsi per agire”. Nell’ambito della SNAD è stato istituito l’osservatorio IRIA (Internet delle cose, Robotica, Intelligenza Artificiale). L’osservatorio intende avviare una sistematica analisi degli aspetti sociali, economici, etici, politici e giuridici relativi ai processi di cambiamento ed innovazione socio-tecnologici. Il mondo del lavoro è il punto di partenza di questa analisi: sarà necessario dare una risposta concreta alla diffusione di “tecnologie del lavoro” e quindi alla “coabitazione ed interrelazione” tra macchine ed uomini.

Un raz de marée qui va tout balayer sur son passage. Mais quel en sera la force, l’étendue, les effets… ? A quels bouleversements faut-il s’attendre ? Comment l’anticiper ? S’y préparer ?

C’est à ces questions que le Salon Supply Chain Event souhaite répondre à travers une offre orientée « digital » et des exposants susceptibles de répondre aux nouveaux défis qui seront à relever dans tous les domaines de la Supply Chain :

- Solutions mobiles sur smartphone et tablette
- Systèmes de pilotage pour la mécanisation et la robotisation

- Réalité augmentée

Mais également un cycle de conférences qui donnera la parole aux professionnels ayant déjà eu recours aux nouvelles technologies ou à des experts ayant réalisé des études sur ce sujet. Compte tenu du caractère innovant et prospectif d’un tel sujet il n’y aura pas de cycle « métiers » comme les années précédentes, mais une segmentation qui abordera la Supply Chain Digitale à travers ces 3 dimensions : stratégique, tactique et opérationnelle.

THE FABRIC OF THE BODIES. FROM ANATOMY TO ROBOTICS

The exposition is located on both floors of the Governor Palace, occupying a surface of 1200 squared meters.

Section one (first floor) introduces the evolutionary aspects of animal shapes and anatomies up to the human anatomy and its representations at the end of the 19th century. The extraordinary collection of physiognomy masks by the anatomist Lorenzo Tenchini, a pupil of Cesare Lombroso, is visibile at this floor.
The entire collection of the Tenchini’s masks is available after 110 years from its original manufacturing due to the generosity of the Lombroso’s Museum in Turin, that collects part of the masks since the beginning of the 20th century, and loaned them in full for this event.

Tra le novita' "basi di programmazione dei manipolatori Kuka. Primo livello, accessibile a tutti. Nel corso impareremo le basi di robotica sia hardware che software con abbinata la meccanica necessaria. Gli automi saranno mossi dai sistemi Micro-GT che integrano le unità a Micro controllore PIC. Programmeremo usando MPLAB X e il compilatore "C" dell'Hitech. Tra gli argomenti: Sensori ed attuatori, controllo PWM, controllo servo, interfacciamento al PC, protocolli di comunicazione sia cablati che WiFi. Telemetria, obstacle avoidhace, navigazione autonoma, zero moment point, eyes traking, basi di visione. Costruzione di un arto umanoide robotizzato e suo sistema di controllo. Piattaforme rover.
Impareremo ad usare anche la piattaforma software GT-PIC_Lab, che permette la programmazione delle schede con MicroPIC anche con il linguaggio Ladder ovvero quello usato per i PLC.
Studenti di Padova lezione dalle 20 alle 23 (inizialmente una volta alla settimana, poi si intensifica a 2), le date e orari verranno comunicate telefonicamente con inizio al raggiungimento del numero di 7 partecipanti, eventuali lezioni perse si possono recuperare.

A crowdfunding initiative that will be last for weeks, started today, to buy a humanoid robot for the Pediatric Institute of Ancona. The funding is coordinated by Fondazione Ospedale Salesi Onlus and by some other partners.

Con questa Onlus abbiamo insieme deciso che il primo progetto a cui parteciperemo è l’acquisto di un “Robot Therapy”.
Un robot che canta, parla e mostra al bambino le procedure mediche in maniera tale da fargli accettare più facilmente la sua situazione.
Di conseguenza cerca di ridurre l’ansia e lo stress che derivano da queste spiacevoli condizioni e soprattutto insegna a questi bambini come imparare ad affrontare quella rabbia che nasce e cresce negli ospedali.

Il corso, nato grazie alla collaborazione tra COMAU e Forte Chance Piemonte, vuole fornire a professionisti, tecnici, periti industriali, ingegneri e manutentori i giusti strumenti per affrontare l'esame di certificazione internazionale denominata Patentino della robotica.
I docenti sono tutti specialisti del settore robotica del gruppo FCA e vantano lunga esperienza nella movimentazione dei robot.
Durante il corso verrà usato un robot a cella mobile e delle interfacce grafiche (ROBOSIM e Visual 3D) che simulano l'ambiente reale di programmazione.

Depuis la première édition en 1997 à Toulouse les Journées Nationales de la Recherche en Robotique (JNRR) réunissent tous les deux ans l’ensemble de la communauté française des chercheurs en robotique, qu'ils travaillent au sein d’institutions publiques ou d’entreprises privées.
Comme à chaque édition, elles seront l’occasion de faire le point sur les dernières avancées dans les principaux domaines de la robotique, de nouer et de conforter des collaborations, de préparer le futur. Notez donc la date : du 8 au 10 novembre 2017.
Ces journées seront couplées avec les JJCR (Journée des Jeunes Chercheurs en Robotique), qui réunissent plus spécifiquement les doctorants en robotique, qui auront lieu le 7 novembre 2017 sur le site de la technocité de Bayonne.

Exhibit of bio robotics (and of humanoids, robot toys, and many robotics devices)

NEXUS racconta la ricerca biorobotica contemporanea e i suoi straordinari risultati, mostrando i percorsi paralleli della scienza e dell’immaginario. L’esposizione – ideata da Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa, Museo Galileo di Firenze e Università di Siena e realizzata grazie a un finanziamento del Ministero dell’Istruzione, dell’Università e della Ricerca – è stata allestita a Firenze, a Palazzo Medici Riccardi , dal 22 gennaio al 15 marzo 2016.
Oltre alla neuro-protesi sviluppata dall’Istituto di BioRobotica della Scuola Sant’Anna in collaborazione con altri enti di ricerca italiani ed europei, erano esposti reperti storici, prototipi di robot umanoidi e robot giocattolo. L’esposizione ha riscosso un notevole successo di pubblico e ha ottenuto riscontri positivi sulla stampa nazionale. In particolare la sua valenza didattica è stata apprezzata dai numerosi gruppi scolastici che hanno preso parte ai laboratori di robotica che affiancavano la mostra.

A robot postman in Cremona
Show details
A first for Cremona. For the first time, the autonomously driven electric vehicle designed for urban delivery and made entirely in Italy, is ready to hit the streets. YAPE, Your Autonomous Pony Express, is a compact robot which moves on two wheels powered by autonomous electric motors. Thanks to sensors and video cameras it is able travel on pavements and cycle lanes to deliver packages of up to 70 kilograms in weight.
Now YAPE is starting its second phase, trials on the open road. In the next two months, thanks to the partnership between the local government of Cremona and CRIT – the Centre for Digital Innovation of Cremona, the historical centre of the Lombard city will play host to all the delivery trials that will allow the electric pony express to refine its self-driving skills in total safety. The tests, launched thanks to the approval of the local government and the municipal police, will lead YAPE to provide delivery services supporting local commerce and reducing CO2 emissions.

The main goal of the project is constructing a remote (via-internet) control system for the professional industry robot and NAO (humanoid shape robot). We will create multilingugal (in all partners languages) video SWIFT programming course available as Open Educational Resource. Schools participating in the project will have an opportunity to evaluate their own curriculums and to choose solutions, effectively used in partner countries, which succour the educational process. The labour market cooperation will influence the awareness of correlation between knowledge and practice. It will show practical ways of using it and it will familiarise the participants with different technological solutions. We will get the most actual knowledge used in real life.

Prende corpo il progetto 'Robotica educativa' della Biblioteca comunale di Saint-Vincent, che ha ottenuto il finanziamento da parte della Fondazione CRT, nell'ambito delle Erogazioni ordinarie 2017.
I laboratori didattici, cofinanziati dal Rotary Club di Aosta e, per la parte rimanente, dal Comune di Saint-Vincent, inizieranno dal mese di novembre 2017 e si protrarranno almeno sino a settembre 2018.

Proveremo la board LoLin32; questa piccola board è basata sul microcontrollore ESP32 le cui principali caratteristiche sono la possibilità di essere programmata con i tool di Arduino, la connessione WiFi e un piccolo display OLED. Questo corso è orientato ai giovanissimi che hanno voglia di mettersi letteralmente in gioco imparando a programmare.
Verrà utilizzato Arduino, una piattaforma di prototipazione ideata per l’insegnamento dell’elettronica e della programmazione.
L'incontro si inserisce in un percorso a moduli indipendenti per permettere ai ragazzi di passare dalla programmazione alla realizzazione di un piccolo robot.

I Skandinavien er der over 12.500 børn og unge mellem 10 og 16 år, der har arbejdet med FIRST LEGO League i den sidste tid og på verdensplan er mere end 300.000 en del af FIRST LEGO League turneringen. Årets tema er Hydro Dynamics. Rundt på skolerne i Helsingør Kommune er der arbejdet intens med emnet, og ikke mindst programmering af robotter.

I tecnici del Fab Lab, partendo da questo spunto, illustreranno gli strumenti di modellazione e stampa 3D, progettazione elettronica e assemblaggio del robot.
Lo scopo finale del laboratorio è la costruzione di un robot completo, personalizzato e funzionante.
Non è richiesta la disponibilità di un pc personale.

Per poter usufruire di questo corso è necessario tesserarsi al Fab Lab Olbia al costo di 50€.

Robo.DU Day is an event with public talks about robotics, Arduino technology, Raspberry Pi and 3D Printers. All visitors can participate in various workshops: LEGO's "Renewable Energy Sources", LEGO gaming, Arduino and Raspberry Pi. There will also be demonstration of humanoid robots, RoboAlkar, drones and many more.

Robo.DU Day is planned as a day of exchange of knowledge and skills among students and young people of the City and the County. The idea of a well-conceived STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) is associated with this event. Vicko Prkačin will talk about his adventure of making a special modular robot. Nikša Vlahušić will present how Arduino technology can been used as a fun and as serious tool for complex tasks. Secretary of the Croatian Robotic Alliance - Željko Krnjajić, will tell all about the successes of Croatian robotic teams, but also about his greatest project - to create and manage a humanoid robot! STEMI will present itself through an incredible story of their success!
