ERL Consumer Local Tournament, Oldenburg, DE, 2019
Show details
ERL Consumer Service Robots is a competition that aims at bringing together the benefits of scientific benchmarking with the attraction of scientific competitions in the field of consumer service robotics. The objectives are to bolster research in consumer service robotics for home applications, and to raise public awareness of the current and future capabilities of such robot systems to meet societal challenges like healthy ageing, longer independent living and facilitating home care.

The IDEAAL Testbed at OFFIS Institute for Information Technology in Oldenburg, Germany, is a new addition to the league. It is probably the most realistic environment of the competition, practically indistinguishable from a real apartment. It contains a fully working kitchen and bathroom, including interior design chosen by a panel of elderly people. A team area is available in conference rooms nearby. The runs can be monitored through IP cameras from the team area and a dedicated monitoring center.

Open call for international teams interested on consumer service robotics.
A maximum of 3 teams will be selected from the received applications.
